Live Election Results.

Voting was held on Thursday for 5 assembly seats (Bypolls Results 2025) in 4 states of the country. The results of all these seats are going to come out today. Counting of votes has started at polling stations since 8 am.
These results can prove to be very important especially for the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP).

On June 19, by-elections were held in Ludhiana West in Punjab, Kaliganj in West Bengal, Nilambur in Kerala, Vidaswar and Kadi seats in Gujarat, the countdown for the results of which has begun.

BJP leads in Gujarat

BJP has overtaken AAP in Visavadar seat of Gujarat. At the same time, BJP candidate Rajendra Chhabra is also leading in Kadi seat.
These elections are considered very important for all the parties, because from this the public's inclination and the direction of the upcoming assembly elections can be gauged. Most eyes are on two seats of Gujarat - Visavadar and Kadi. Visavadar seat fell vacant in 2023 when AAP MLA Bhupendra Bhayani resigned and joined BJP.

This time BJP has fielded Kirit Patel. At the same time, Congress has fielded Nitin Ranparia and AAP has fielded its former state president Gopal Italia.

Gujarat

-Kadi seat: Rajendra Chavda from BJP, former MLA Ramesh Chavda from Congress and Jagdish Chavda from Aam Aadmi Party are in the fray. -Visavadar seat: BJP has fielded former Junagadh district president Kirit Patel. He is pitted against Gopal Italia of Aam Aadmi Party and Nitin Ranparia of Congress.

West Bengal

-Kaliganj seat: Congress's Qabil Uddin Sheikh (Left Front supported), Trinamool Congress' Alifa Ahmed and BJP's Ashish Ghosh are facing each other


Kerala

-Nilambur seat: M. Swaraj is the candidate from the ruling LDF. He is pitted against Aryadan Shaukat of UDF, P.V. Anwar of TMC and Mohan George of NDA. In all, 10 candidates are trying their luck in this by-election. This contest is considered a litmus test for the LDF government, especially in view of the assembly elections next year.

Punjab

-Ludhiana West seat: This seat is witnessing a four-way contest. Rajya Sabha MP Sanjeev Arora from Aam Aadmi Party, Bharat Bhushan Ashu from Congress, Jeevan Gupta from BJP and Parupkar Singh Ghuman from Shiromani Akali Dal are in the fray.

BJP reached second place and Congress third in Ludhiana.


In Ludhiana West, Congress candidate Bharat Bhushan has reached third place and BJP candidate Jeevan Gupta has gained lead and reached second place. However, AAP's Sanjeev Arora is leading by more than 8 thousand votes.


Upset in Gujarat's Vidaswar seat.


AAP is leading in the initial trends of Gujarat's Vidaswar seat. AAP candidate Italia Goyal is ahead by more than 7 thousand votes. At the same time, BJP's Kirti Patel is in second place.

How did the five seats become vacant?


Let us tell you that the sitting MLAs of the seats in Gujarat, Punjab and West Bengal, where by-elections were held, had passed away, due to which these seats became vacant. At the same time, MLAs resigned from one seat each in Kerala and Gujarat, after which by-elections were held here.

Four-way contest in Ludhiana.


There is a close fight between many big parties on the Ludhiana West seat of Punjab. AAP had given ticket to Rajya Sabha MP Sanjeev Arora from this seat. At the same time, Congress had declared senior leader Bharat Bhushan Ashu as its candidate. Apart from this, BJP had fielded Jeevan Gupta and Shiromani Akali Dal had fielded Parupkar Singh Ghuman.

BJP candidate Jeevan Gupta said, "I start all my auspicious works with the blessings of God. I am a devotee of Lord Shiva. I have prayed to him for the progress and golden future of Punjab."
