Preparations for Ganesh Utsav, which is celebrated with great pomp across the country, have been completed. Ganesh Chaturthi is celebrated every year on the Chaturthi Tithi of Shukla Paksha in the month of Bhadrapada. On this day, devotees welcome Lord Ganesha, the destroyer of obstacles, install his idol and worship him with devotion and enthusiasm for 10 days.

In the year 2025, the auspicious festival of Ganesh Chaturthi will start from 27 August 2025.

Auspicious time of installation.


According to the Panchang, Chaturthi Tithi will start from 09:31 pm on 26 August and will last till 11:09 pm on 27 August. The most auspicious time for Ganpati installation is from 11:00 am to 01:30 pm on 27 August. At this time, devotees will install Ganesh idols in homes and pandals.

Importance of Ganesh Utsav.


It is believed that by worshiping properly on the day of Ganesh Chaturthi, happiness and prosperity comes in life and all obstacles are removed. This festival is celebrated with special enthusiasm in many parts of the country including Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh. Lakhs of devotees gather in the pandals of Mumbai and Pune for the grand darshan of Ganpati Bappa.


Program from installation to immersion.


According to the Vedic calendar, Chaturthi Tithi will start on August 26 at 01:54 pm and will end on August 27 at 03:44 pm. Since Udayatithi is valid, this year the festival of Ganesh Chaturthi will be celebrated on 27 August, Wednesday. Every year Ganesh Visarjan takes place on the day of Anant Chaturdashi. This year it will be on 7 September, Sunday.

Ganesh Installation Puja Method  n Materials


For Ganesh installation, first of all clean and purify the place of worship. Install the idol on a red or yellow cloth. After Kalash Puja, offer vermilion, durva grass, red flowers and modak to Ganpati ji. Chant the mantra 'Om Gan Ganpataye Namah' and perform aarti and distribute prasad.

Ashtagandha, yogurt, honey, cow ghee, sugar, flower garland for Ganeshji, banana leaves, rose water, lamp candle, silver coin. Offer modak, motichoor laddu, khir and malpua to get special grace of Lord Ganesha.
