CSK VS RR:

With the help of Vaibhav Suryavanshi's 57 runs in 33 balls, Rajasthan Royals bid farewell to IPL by defeating Mahendra Singh Dhoni's Chennai Super Kings by wickets in their last match on Tuesday.

The Royals achieved the target of 188 runs for victory by losing four wickets in 17.1 overs.

With this win, the Royals are now in the ninth position among the ten teams with eight points from 13 matches, while Chennai is in the last position with eight points from 12 matches and to move up one position, they will have to win by a big margin against Gujarat Titans in their last match.

Suryavanshi, a 14 year and 54 day old, a discovery of coach Rahul Dravid, was five days old when the Indian team won the ODI World Cup in 2011 under Dhoni's captaincy. By playing such a courageous innings at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, full of Dhoni's fans, he proved that the future of Indian cricket, which is going through a phase of change, is in safe hands. The same can be said for Chennai's Ayush Mhatre, who played a key role in taking Chennai out of a bad start and reaching 187 runs for eight wickets.

Explosive start of Rajasthan Royals.

Royals got an aggressive start from Yashasvi Jaiswal but he was bowled by Anshul Kamboj in the fourth over. He scored 36 runs in 19 balls with the help of five fours and two sixes. After this, Suryavanshi and captain Sanju Samson shared a 98-run partnership in 59 balls. Suryavanshi, who has scored a century this season, once again showed his talent by hitting spectacular strokes all around the field. On the other end, Samson also kept the run rate fast, with both of them at the crease, the Royals seemed to be moving towards an easy victory.

Ashwin tried to turn the tables by sending both of them to the pavilion in the same over. In the fourteenth over, after getting Samson (41 runs in 31 balls with three fours, two sixes) caught by Brevis, Suryavanshi was sent to the pavilion by getting him caught out by Ravindra Jadeja. Later, however, Dhruv Jurel (31 off 12 balls) and Shimron Hetmyer (12 off 5 balls) led the team to victory.

Akash- Yudhveer showed amazing bowling.

Sent to bat first, Chennai had a bad start once again and after the second over, two of its batsmen had returned to the pavilion when only 12 runs were on the scoreboard. After this, Mhatre (43 runs in 20 balls), Brevis (42 runs in 25 balls) and Shivam Dubey (39 runs in 32 balls) played useful innings. Dhoni came to bat in the 14th over but scored 16 runs in 17 balls and fell prey to Madhwal in the last over. For the Royals, Yudhveer Singh took three wickets for 47 runs in four overs and Madhwal took three wickets for 29 runs.

Devon Conway (10) returned after hitting a four on deep third man off Yudhveer's ball in the second over of Chennai's innings after being caught by Riyan Parag at mid-off. On the last ball of the same over, new batsman Urvil Patel played a high shot at mid-on and Kwena Mphaka jumped backwards and took a brilliant one-handed catch. After losing two wickets for 12 runs, Chennai sent experienced Ashwin up the batting order, who handled the innings along with Mhatre.

Mhatre tried to relieve the pressure by hitting two fours to Tushar Deshpande in the third over, while breaking the confidence of Yudhveer who took two wickets, both the batsmen scored 24 runs in the fourth over, first Ashwin hit a four on a short ball at fine leg and the next ball crossed the square leg boundary, Mhatre hit a six and a four on the last two balls. Chennai completed 50 runs in 29 balls and the half-century partnership for the third wicket took only 22 balls.

Seeing both the bowlers being beaten, Royals captain Samson handed the ball to Mafaka in the fifth over, whom Mhatre welcomed with two fours, in the next over, admonishing Deshpande, Mhatre hit three consecutive fours but was caught in the deep while trying to hit a six on the fifth ball, Mafaka leaned forward and skillfully caught the ball going down.

Dewald Brevis- Shivam Dubey took Chennai to a respectable score.

After the powerplay, Chennai's score was 68 runs for two wickets, Mhatre, one of the best young batsmen of this season, shared a 56-run partnership with Ashwin in which Ashwin's contribution was 13 runs. At this score, Ashwin lost his wicket by giving a catch to Shimron Hetmyer on Hasranga's ball. Ravindra Jadeja (one) also could not stay and Yudhveer took the third wicket in his third over, Jadeja caught by Dhruv Jurel at midwicket. Brevis completed Chennai's hundred runs by hitting a six off Riyan Parag who came to bowl in the tenth over. Brevis was bowled by Akash Madhwal in the 14th over after which Dhoni came on the field. Brevis scored 42 runs in 25 balls with the help of two fours and three sixes.

Shameful record for Chennai.

This was the 10th defeat of the season for Chennai Super Kings. After this defeat, they are at the bottom of the points table. This is an embarrassing record for them, as this team has never finished at the bottom in IPL history. With the defeat against Rajasthan Royals, CSK made another embarrassing record. This is the first time since 2022 and only the second time in history that CSK has lost 10 matches.

This danger looms over CSK.

With this defeat, Chennai Super Kings are on the verge of finishing at the bottom of the points table for the first time in IPL history. This is an extremely embarrassing situation for the 5-time champion team, as they have never finished at the bottom of the league. If the team does not win by a big margin against Gujarat Titans in their last match, then this record will be registered in their name.

 Dhoni's captaincy also failed.

CSK started the season under the leadership of Rituraj Gaikwad, but after he was injured and was ruled out, the captaincy once again came into the hands of veteran Mahendra Singh Dhoni. However, Dhoni's 'magic' also failed to stop the team's disappointing performance this time. After the defeat to RR, Dhoni admitted that the team has started planning for the future and is focusing on removing its shortcomings. The team can make big changes to perform better next season.

Rajasthan's brilliant bowling in the last three overs.

Dhoni created excitement among the audience by hitting a straight six to Parag in the 16th over. This was Dhoni's 350th six in T20 cricket. Dubey (39 runs in 32 balls) became the victim of Madhwal on the first ball of the last over, whose catch was taken by Yashasvi Jaiswal. Madhwal also dismissed Dhoni in the same over and dashed Chennai's hopes of reaching 200 runs. Rajasthan bowlers gave only 17 runs in the last three overs.
